CLUB NEWS

Hello and welcome to the 2009 season of the Russian
River Sportsman’s club. We are proud to introduce
Chris Wikeen as our new Club President, leader & big
toe and Lynne Wheeler as our new Vice President.
There are two prospective board members being
considered for the board. Club members are always
encouraged to attend our Board meetings.
We regret to announce Korry Kellogg stepping down as
an RRSC Board of Directors. Having served on the
board for three years as asst. Range Master and head
Beer Brat cook, he has made many selfless
contributions to the club and will be sorely missed.
This year is looking to be one of the best in recent
years. With many new members joining in 2008 as well
as the return of many active members. This year looks
to be very exciting.

2009 Membership Renewals
It’s that time again folks, membership renewals for the
2009 season are due. We regret the increase from $50
to $65 this year. The increase is necessary to keep up
with increasing operating costs. The fees for shooting
will remain the same, $4.00 for club members, $5.00
for non members and youth shoots will remain at $2.00
for young shooters under the age of 18.
Be sure to get your dues mailed in as soon as possible.
The new 2009 gate combination is going to be changed
by February 21st. You will receive the new gate code with your 2009 membership card.
Mail your renewal to RRSC PO BOX 7 Duncans Mills,
Ca. 95430

Range Masters Needed!
It would be nice to have some back up Range
Masters for the rare occasions that Steve is
unavailable. There is no compensation for being a
Range Master and you will get to shoot less, but if
you still have it in yourself to volunteer please contact
any of the BOD’s.

Want to Advertise in the
RRSC News Letter?
Want your business card or other advertising
graphics included in the RRSC news letter? Then
read on. Many of our members are self employed as
General Contractors, Electricians, Welders,
Plumbers, other Tradesmen and some lawyers. The
remaining members are home owners often needing
these services have problems or have friends that
do. We are considering starting an inexpensive, but
fee based advertiser’s page in the new and improved
RRSC Newsletter. Check out page 4 for some
examples of advertising options.
Are you interested? We would appreciate your
thoughts and opinions.
Work parties needed
There are some work projects that need some
serious attention. Volunteer’s with carpentry, roofing
skills and materials are needed.
Storeroom roof: This has been stalled for 3 years
now. Initially this was a remove and re-roll roof
project. It has been leaking so bad there is much
wood that needs to be replaced.
Front & Rear Stairs: This is a safety problem as
there is a lot of foot traffic on the front steps. They
could be repaired but would be best to replaced them
with new stringers and boards.
Outdoor Restrooms: Two doors are
needed for privacy and some elbow grease will get
them cleaned up and operational.
Poison Oak: There are poison oak vines growing in
the tall pines west of club house that need to be
removed.
Please contact any BOD if you can volunteer any of
your time or materials.
